Product Spotlight Video: The Caribou Game Bag Set
The Caribou game bag set is designed to hold an entire caribou on the bone. But what’s included, and what makes this pack different from others in our lineup? Here, we’ll answer those questions and give you an in-depth look at the Caribou.
First, it’s important to know that all of our game bags – from the smallest to the largest – are built with the exact same fabric and construction. It’s the only patented game bag on the market for a reason! It’s lightweight, durable, breathable and completely washable. A set of Caribou Gear game bags will keep your meat in excellent condition and will last for many years.
The Caribou is a part of our High Country series, which also includes the Carnivore, the Wapiti and the Muley. The High Country series is easily identified by the black packaging. Sets in this series are designed to be lightweight, compact and easy to carry on a backcountry hunt.
Other sets in the high country series like the Wapiti and Muley include five game bags (four quarter bags, plus a loose meat bag). However, the Caribou is a little unique in that it includes six game bags. In many places in Alaska, hunters are required to take all the meat on the bone, including the ribs. So in the Caribou game bag set, you’ve got a meat parts bag for that loose meat, four quarter bags, plus a bag for the ribs.

The Caribou set comes in a vented storage bag with a packaged size of 5.5” x 5.25” and weighing just 19 ounces. This is ideal for backcountry hunts where weight and space are at a premium.
If you’re looking for something more robust, take a look at our Magnum Pack series (identified by the orange packaging). Game bags in the magnum packs are cut slightly larger for more airflow. They also include a trophy cape bag and a camp meat bag. The Medium Magnum Pack is designed to hold a bone-in mature caribou or elk.
